In the 1890s the ground around the Lazy Duck was used as a stopover for clansmen bringing their horses from Lochaber on the west coast through Badenoch and Strathspey to the Inverness Wool Fair on the east. Now, lightweight campers, with or without a horse, in two or three man tents are welcome once again to any of the four pitches available. Campers have the use of a flush toilet and washbasin, hot and cold water washing-up space, a hot water bush shower, wet weather cooking shelter, chimenea fire, and free range eggs.

We do not have specific pitches so that the ground covered can be rotated and everyone can enjoy some fresh grass on which to pitch.We offer picnic tables adjacent to your pitch. Manicured surroundings amidst an incredible array of birdlife. All against the backdrop of the Cairngorm mountains. New toilet block with full under floor heating and all modern conveniences is at your disposal. Special toddlers wash room and changing facilities for babies. Electric hookups for vans. Convenient for the Speyside Way and Cairngorm National Park. 1km from the town centre.

It has an excellent golf course and tennis courts and there are many fine walks and trails for mountain bikes through forests and hills. Fishing permits are available for the famous River Spey. It is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet and restful holiday. The site is provided with 60 pitches with ample space, and a large and safe play area for children. Facilities are modern, clean and well maintained and include toilets and showers with separate facilities for the disabled, constant hot water, hairdryer and shaver points.
