Balvenie is a delightful old cottage, one of the oldest in Braemar. Part of the building is 'listed' and retains many old features. The cottage has been comfortably furnished and has a modern bath and shower room. Outside there is a large secluded garden with a summerhouse containing barbecue facilities.
Braemar is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast with many walks within the village or just a short drive away. It is home to the famous "Braemar Gathering" held on the first Saturday of September and attended by the Queen. Balmoral Castle is close by and open to the public when the Queen is not in residence.
