Galicia

I'm going to be in the Galicia region of northern Spain next June, and looking for suggestions for day walks in the area, preferably with a reasonable amount of ascent rather than flat walks. Any suggestions?

Beinn Bhuidhe (Loch Fyne)

Just wondered if anyone had been up recently, and how much snow there is? Would it be possible to cycle the first/last stretch at the moment or is there snow lying in the valley? Thanks! :D

The Western Fannaichs

our_route.gpx After a long day yesterday on the Eastern Fannaichs, we had a later start and took our time having breakfast and breaking camp. We then had to cycle back to the A832 with all our gear. This wasn’t as hard as I expected, although I did feel a bit unsteady on the bike! IMG_1293.JPG Once...

The Eastern Fannaichs

our_route.gpx This walk was almost two years in the planning, but we finally got round to it. We had set a date and resolved to go for it no matter what! As the chosen date drew nearer the forecast got better and better so I headed over a few days early to make the most of the good weather. Althoug...

Re: Torridon 2 - Beinn Alligin

Yeah, that was me! I avoided the heat, but unfortunately both munro tops were in cloud when I was there! Was delighted that the horns were clear though! :)

Re: Torridon 2 - Beinn Alligin

Congratulations on conquering your fear! I did this on the same day in reverse - met you just before you reached the horns? - and similarly found them much easier than expected! A great day out!

Re: The Fannichs

Shame about the weather, but good report! How long did day one take you? We are planning to do this route in August in the same way, and then drive round and do the two western Fannaichs on the second day from the north!

Re: carn mor dearg Arete

Hi

I am planning to climb Ben Nevis via Tower Ridge with some friends and was wondering how possible it is to do the Carn Mor Dearg Arete going from Ben Nevis to CMD? All the routes I can find start on CMD!
