Re: Scottish 4000's for Charity

Weather forecast looks ok for the start of the week according to MWIS with only patchy rain forecast but some gusts. Hoping it stays favorable though. Thank you to the support from WH members that I've received by PM and donation so far, I'm eagerly anticipating this now and yet at the same time the...

Re: Scottish 4000's for Charity

Hills familiarised, training going great, gear sorted, can't wait to get stuck in now! :D Just under a month to go now, weather permitting. Thank you to everyone that has been kind enough to donate, we're sitting just shy of £1000 going to CLIC Sargent currently, I'd love to clear that if possible. ...

Re: walking mags

Same as Nathan really. Trail is entertaining and useful for reviews and news etc, little else usually.

Re: Scottish 4000's for Charity

Just a little heads up on this (and a small bump too). Had an interview that should be going out shortly on a local Aberdeen based radio station, Original 106. Interest from other press sources too, hoping to secure some company sponsors also. If you have Facebook, please like+share my page at http:...

Re: Ben Wyvis (Clach Laith) Windfarm

113 views and only 2 comments!!! You fools, how dare you! ....no, but really, too keen. Can turn off the audience and weaken the arguement. As for me, i like the pretty windmills - tho i wish they weren't all white. I also like electricity and am not awfully fond of excessive radiation levels or sq...

Re: Ban Mountain Bikes from our Mountains

Ban something many people enjoy safely because a minority cause a problem?

I don't think so.

Re: Any Midges in Braemar Cairngorms at the moment?

I camped out by Loch Etchachan on saturday night and spent much of the weekend around the area and I wasn't troubled by midges at all.

Re: Camp Sites North Wales

Llechrwd Riverside Campsite is run by a good friend of mine and I've stayed there a number of times. It's a smallish family run site near Maentwrog with great views, plus you're only a short drive from Snowdon as well as the tourist sites on the north west coast. I'd definitely recommend it. :D http...

Conditions in the Cairngorms this weekend

Hi guys, has anyone been up to the Cairngorms recently and could let me know of the snow coverage please? Namely on Macdui. Planning a camp by Loch Etchachan saturday night but don't know if I should be packing my ice axe and crampons along with my shorts and suncream.

Cheers!
