The fantastic early summer weather and the combination of Easter and the Royal Wedding holidays has meant the Scottish countryside has been crawling with walkers. Some of you have been on your computers too though - Walkhighlands had a record month with a quarter of a million visits and over 4 million pages viewed! This has carried through to a massive bag of trip reports, making the selection of this months winners the toughest yet. Particularly great to see an increasing number of reports on lower level routes, and some great family trips.

This months winning reports both describe someone finally climbing a mountain they'd been aiming at for some time. Winner - and £60 of Webtogs vouchers - is BlackPanther for Suilven - the Phantom Menace conquered, and runner-up and £30 vouchers goes to ChrisW for Lochnagar - A landmark acheived.

Very hard luck to everyone else - there was a score of reports worthy of the prizes!

Congratulations Black Panther and Chris

I like the fact that both these reports dealt with overcoming personal obstacles in order to achieve your ambition.

The triumph of the human spirit.
