Munro number 3.

Headed over to Mull as part of a few days mountain biking and hill walking round Scotland. Weather report for the day wasnt looking good and indicated that early morning start required to get the best of the weather, so we were sitting at the bottom of Ben More by 7.30am, would have been earlier if the sheep and cows had moved off the single track road a bit faster on our way from Craignure. Given the weather forecast we werent sure if it was a good idea to set off but summit was visible and the skys were fairly clear, so we did. Got some good photos most of the way up then the rain started but visibility was still good so we carried on up. We were just getting to the ridge before the fog set in, we kind of knew there wasnt far to go so carried on, but at one point was contemplaiting turning back, didnt fancy getting lost up there. But we made it to the summit, got a couple of photos to prove we were there, had a quick bit to eat and headed back down.

Have to be thankful that it wasnt 5 degrees colder, the rain wasnt too bad but if it had been colder it would have been miserable. Met a couple heading up at about 2/3rds of the way down and another just at the start of the climb, but this was the first summit we have had to ourselves so far. Just a pity the weather wasnt better to have enjoyed a view and perhaps a few minutes longer up there to enjoy.

Enjoyed this one
