bizarre weather conditions on Schiehallion for Brian and I...
Left the torrential weather behind us on the way north, and set off from the Braes of Foss car park in glorious conditions.
Good steady gradual climb all the way to the summit on a great path until the boulder field.
We watched a rain cloud to the NE all the way up, hoping it would pass us by, but no such luck.
5 mins from the summit it caught up with us and opened it's bladder on us.
Hail and rain made the return through the boulder field a lot tougher, neglecting to jump into the waterproof trousers was also damaging to the cause. Typically, once safely over the slippery boulders, the cloud passed and we turned to look towards the summit which once again was completely clear. The only 20 min of the day Schiehallion was under cloud was the exact 20 min we were there on the top... gutted!
Will probably return one day to put that straight.
