I started this walk in the small carpark just south of the Storey arms. This path up to Pen y Fan is known locally as the "motorway". Its a steady climb up to the summit of Pen y Fan (coffee break) then a steep decent to the base of Cribyn and then a steep climb up to the summit. (coffee break) gentle walk along the ridge and a steep decent to the base of Fan y Big another steep climb to the summit of Fan y Big. (coffee break). Back down to the bottom of Fan y Big at this point i decided to take the path around Cribyn and then back up Pen y Fan, just below the summit i took a path around Pen y Fan and along the back of Corn Ddu and back down the "motorway" to the carpark. Maybe i should have named this walk the coffee break walk!
