Parking just passed Tulloch farm, we followed the track up through the trees. Once out the trees we climbed the stile and followed the fence line as far up as the trees on the other side. Here we had a decision to make, do we keep following the fenceline or do we veer to the left and head up. We decided to leave the fenceline to make our way to the ridge. Once up after making our way through the soft snow it was level going before the final push to the summit, here we climbed steeply where the fence posts were but found it too steep as the snow was virtually in our faces as we climbed and we were not making much progress. We decided to come down and and went over to the left where we then climbed up at an angle reaching the summit soon after.

Bloody hell, do you ever stob?

I wish I got out this often. You seem to have a knack of making the best of the weather too - looks like another reasonable day out :)

Brrrrr! looks rather chilly; it was a little bit warmer when I did The Stob in May 2010.

You're fair getting around the smaller hills these days Johnny. I remember this one having a very "remote" feel to it. I guess that feeling would have been even greater in the snowy conditions. 8)
