Made a promise to myself not so log ago that i would never ever ever no even maybe go hill walking after a night on the sauce again.Broke that promise this weekend and paid the price.Last night it was the Black Keys gig in edinburgh ,this morning picked up at half 6 by the legend Charlie to tackle beinn dubhcraig and ben oss .Got to the ice rink car park about 8 and met up with the rest of today's gang, regulars myself ,kevin, jim and the legend were joined by charlie's daughter Lisa,Bob,Dave and George and we slid our way into the woods over the frozen bogs

.First laugh of the day was trying to cross the rickety old bridge,it was well iced up and lisa had to cross on her hands and knees

.Then once up and out of the woods we began the long slog up the hill.

Fresh deep snow and a raging hangover made for slow going and it took me and jim about 3 and a half hours to eventually to make the top of dubhcraig,

"happy as larry, could not be happier"
got the homemade tattie and leek on and the others made the top about 10 minutes later.

Everybody had done well to get here,Bob was on his first munro,Lisa was out for the first time since having her baby and me ,jim ,charlie and kevin were just plain knackered so no one had any complaints when we decided to leave ben oss for another day.Made our way back down the way we came ,sliding down a good bit and getting cramp (must sort that out)and getting back to the cars after 6 hours 15 mins.

A couple of pints and a swift half in the Rod and Reel (slope in that pub gets worse every time i go in)and ah wiz fresh as a daisy again.Bit of unfinished business left out there again with not getting Ben Oss done but it's on the list and we will return(maybe).

Certainly looks slippery and a pity about Ben Oss but at least you all had a good day out :D

Bananas - cramp can be caused by potassium deficiency and bananas are a source of potassium - I try to eat one per day and seems to help me (when I eventually manage to get out....) 8)
