Jack Rabbits.....at last

Jack Rabbits.....at last

Postby ChrisW » Sat Mar 17, 2012 8:23 pm

Since we first arrived in our new home we have seen Jack Rabbits roaming around the garden, though usually at night when you cant get a decent photo. Even going as far as standing beside us in the garden when we watched the Aurora out there a few weeks ago.

Today, at last, I finally managed to catch one of our 'gardeners' on camera, when I first looked out of the window he was perched on a rock taking some interest in the small flag used to mark sprinkler locations.

he then set off around the garden at quite a pace having a good look around

fortunately he came much closer to the house to investigate the flowerbeds there
Image

after the flowerbeds he took to the lawn for a while

before kindly stopping directly below and posing for a shot where we can see his winter coat beginning to change back to brown, after this he was off....like a .....well ....... a Jack Rabbit ; )
