Yes, that would be quite a sight.

The BBC story also details an earlier incident and by coincidence I recently came across a photo of same:

That's a brilliant photo of a very sad looking Sea King . I remember reading about that in Cairngorm John , it must have been a cold shift standing guard over it !

After being stuck there for almost 10 days waiting for a weather window and to allow de-icing, the internal batteries were changed and it started first time. Not bad for an antique, circa early 1970's.
