A bridge too far?

A bridge too far?

Hi All,
Can anyone advise of the condition of the footbridge over the River Carnach near Sourlies bothy and the ground conditions leading from the bothy to the bridge?

Much obliged.

Regards
Alan.

Hello Alan

I was there some weeks ago during the dry spell and could have waded across the river. The bridge is old but still fine for use.

The ground conditions between the bridge and bothy are best described as 'weird'. When we were there last and the tide was coming in the water was actually bubbling up through the bog causing all sorts of endlessly amusing farting noises, coupled with some fairly appalling bog stench.

I'm headed to Sourlies myself this weekend, when do you expect to be there?

Hi Ian Thanks for the info. I've been in some pretty awfull boggy areas. This sounds like fun(?). I'm planning to be there in August.
