I love the reports with pictures that walkhighlands has on the Scottish Hills and use them regularly. Can anyone recommend a good website which covers the Lake District? Thanks in advance. Andy

I've used http://www.walkingenglishman.com/ for a number of years.
He has a very extensive list of walks, with a nice style of description and good photo's.

The Wainwright Society have their own website:-

http://www.wainwright.org.uk/

There are some good pictures and walk reports on here, and a knowledgeable forum who'll keep you informed and updated about routes in Lakeland. As for route descriptions and diagrams, you still can't do better than Wainwright's books (these days it's worth getting Chris Jesty's updates).
