Not sure from which direction you're coming in, but as you near Braemar from Glen Shee on the A93 there is an area where the river meanders between the main A road and a smaller single track military road to the west. There is good wide and flat areas of ground here where wild camping is permitted by the estate.
As expected they ask that you leave the area clean and tidy and use a stove to cook rather than lighting fires.
