Seeking walking partner Glencoe/Ballachulish - late August

I'm visiting Scotland on vacation in late August 2012 - my first time! - and am arranging an overnight in the Glencoe/Ballachulish area for a day of walking/exploring. Would love to meet up with others who are interested.

I'm not a hiker or climber, nor am I interested in covering a lot of miles. Just want to soak in the amazing scenery and see as much as possible (I'm a writer/poet so I may need to stop and write on occasion as I'm sure I'll be inspired!).

I walk regularly here at home in the US and am no stranger to walking long distances on vacation (so far in Reykjavik, London, and Paris).

I look forward to hearing from you!

Glad to see you managed to get a partner for walking. another American too........... how lucky is that. You've hiked in paris good on you. i love paris and all it has to offer. been there 5 or 6 times. went through a phase of 'being in paris'. haven't been for a while have to remedy that before too long. as you know the metro is great for zooming around paris but when on foot that is something different all together...................... exhausting. hope you enjoy your stay in scotland. :)

Thanks! Hopefully it can work out. Yes, Paris with the crowds (unfortunately had to go in summer) can be exhausting. The teenage students on their school trips, alone were overwhelming. The countryside in Iceland and England was a bit more scenic - less buildings and people!
