#6 Ben Wyvis - set off from car park around 8.15am pleasantly warm with low cloud and fog and a touch of drizzle, waterproof was on for all of about 10 minutes before overheating. First part of the walk is a relatively easy path up through the woods and valley, then the hard work starts, steep seemingly never ending steps but before you know it 2.5 hours in you hit the plataue and it is an easy stroll across to the summit cairn. The fog and low cloud cleared just before the steps, but I wish i hadnt as it showed us how far we still had to go and with the sun out it was a sticky walk. passed one chap coming down at the start of the stairs section and were passed by a couple of runners on the way up, but we had the summit to ourselves and it was at least 3/4 of an hour before we passes anyone else on their way up as we came back down.
Liked this one, even though we had set out to do Schehallion this weekend, but due to campsite issues ended up in Digwall.
