came face to face with this fellow in southern skye, i think its a mink

Me too..

I saw one once in a trap on Balmoral estate.. it was going mental trying to knaw through the bars.. was a little bit scary :shock:

Yes, that is a mink. I hope you bludgeoned it mercilessly to death with a heavy blunt instrument? They slaughter ground-nesting birds and are driving the water-vole to extinction. Also they make a lovely coat.

I think in some places they are getting them back under control.. The water voles are definately back on Balmoral anyways.. Had some close encounters last year at a wild camp spot below fafernie ;)
