Week in Ballachulish!

Week in Ballachulish!

Postby Hillyfaekillie » Wed Aug 22, 2012 2:37 pm

Hi all,
Originally from Kilmarnock now living in Limerick Ireland. To cut a long story short the wife and myself will be spending a week in Ballachulish this coming Saturday 25th (hoping for some sunshine) and was wondering what would be a good introductory Munro walk whilst there.

I was thinking of starting off simple and maybe try the Pap of Glencoe as a starter and then go for a Munro later on in the week.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, love the site very informative.

Happy Walking,

Hilly :D

Welcome :)
If you are going to do the Pap it may be worth while combining it with the the 2nd Munro on the Aonach Ridge -Sgorr nam Fiannaidh, the views are worth it on a good day. Enjoy yourself whatever you both decide to do

I would recommend Buachaille Etive Beag, good paths and 2 munros.

I'll second that. Probably the easiest Munro in the glen. Pap is also a good choice (probably slightly harder than the above if memory serves me right).

Stunning views from both....if the weather plays ball

Hey guys thanks for replying with some suggestions. Buachaille Etive Beag sounds good to me after looking at the reports on the website. also thanks Soulminer for suggesting taking in Sgorr nam Fiannaidh, when climbing the pap. Here hoping for semi decent weather :D
