Being new to Walkhighlands and of a hopeful disposition thought it might be worth adding an old item to the "lost" list. On Tuesday 25th November 2008 I left my ice axe in a layby at Lundie (GR145105, OS 1:50,000 sheet 34), on the north side of the main road past Loch Cluanie. It was dark after a tough day out in strong winds and put the ice axe on the ground while unlocking the car and failed to pick it up again! It was a dear friend bought in 1972. It had a 30 inch wooden shaft. I went back a couple of days later but it had gone - is anyone out there looking after it?
