Softshell jackets gear review

Modern softshell jackets generally consist of a windproof, water-resistant outer and a fleece or brushed inner lining. There are endless combinations of fabric weights and construction, with the thinnest comparable in warmth to a 100 weight microfleece under a simple Pertex windshirt. Just a word of warning on the Paramo Velez Adventure Smock. The lighter outer fabric is not that robust and backpackers and thru hikers will find that it wears and tears far too easily. For day walking and cycling it is a good choice though.
