Ryvoan Poem

Ryvoan Poem

Postby rogers » Sun Sep 23, 2012 10:51 pm

Was on holiday at Dulnain Bridge for the last week and one of the walks I done was Bynack More and as I past the Green Loch I stopped for a rest and come across part of a poem carved into a bench, after a bit of research I found the complete poem, for anyone with a fondness for the Cairngorms I think it is quite meaningful.

Like H. Brown...see his anthology, Poems of the Scottish Hills 1982, I recall seeing this poem written on the back of the door into the main room at Ryvoan Bothy which he wrote down....I too, probably many others did, scribbled it down.... before it got lost. The author didn't leave his/her name. :)
