A nice wee climb up to an old fort, Dun Chonallaich which has been somewhat reconstructed and offers nice views towards Cruachan, Loch Awe, Kilmichael Glen, Kilmartin, Scarba and Mull hills. Head north on the A816, from Lochgilphead, past Tibertich farm and park on on the left about a hundred yards past the narrow bridge. From there I chose a route across the boggy stuff and a narrow part of the burn, heading up the steeper, rocky face, where there is a small amount of loose scree, but there are other ways up, so do what suits.
From there I headed NE to Dun Dubh, crossing a track which leads down to Ford and would be a good walk some other day. There is now a new track leading into the hills, built by windfarm developers, which I headed for, looping back round onto a short walk along the main road, back to the car.
