It would be Sunday I would be doing it. Starting early doors about half 7ish. Weather isn't too bad in the morning but meant to get pretty windy by mid afternoon according to MWIS.

If you're doing the two on the Big Bookil you will have to come further back on yourself to get off on to the Lairig Gartain as the path on the map goes over a big cornice (as of 1st Jan; assuming it's still there!). Was also very icy going up the north facing corrie, Coire na Tulaich.
Click here to see my video from last week's walk
Take care and have fun! :)
P.S. Here's a link to the route we took off, probably much safer as it's not as steep as the original path

I think i'm on my todd tomorrow so was thinking just up to Meall Nan Tarmachan (not the ridge round just there and back) .. although weather dependent may continue on (will leave time for it) however looking at it I think its a bit risky alone?

I'm still fairly inexperienced in winter walking so don't want to try anything daft - anyone think there is anything I should be aware of / beware of? Would the ridge be too challenging in winter for little experience?

Got all kit (barring ropes) and basic compass skills and I tend to be risk averse rather than reckless so wont be stupid if it gets too challenging weather wise

Grenfell i tried to PM you but seems stuck in outbox bud

I really fancy getting out tomorrow, wife's away and i'm wanting to stretch the legs.

Bit worried I might hold you up though - as you know just finding my winter legs. have full kit and am pretty fit and enjoy a challenge.

Will it be a crampon job you reckon (if no i need to figure out how to put them on properly!)

Where are you travelling up from?

I had problems on it on Tuesday despite being fully kitted out. There may not be as much snow on it now as there was earlier in the week but just be careful if you go for it.
