10 hours ????? A quicker and easier way is to roll big snowballs, as if starting to build a snowman. Build a circle of such big snowballs (approx waist height) then put another ring of them on the outside, forming a thick double ring of big snowballs. Do the same again, making slightly smaller snowballs which can then be lifted up on the double ring, to form a higher wall. Rafters are needed for this type; you can use tree branches but if these are not available big icicles or long sheets of ice from a body of water do admirably. Cover these with pads of snow, fill in cracks with snow. If in an area with pine trees or vegetation, you can insulate the inner walls and floor with pine needles and or dry grass/reeds. Try not to set it on fire, that would be ridiculous.

Alas, it looks like the roof may have collapsed a bit more since Matty's visit. Great project though & the timelapse photos are brilliant.
