Hi folks... Newbie here

Hi, I did my first hill walk last Sunday after wanting to take to the hills for years.
I work with a group of experienced hill walkers and we went up Ben A'an in snowy icy conditions. With hindsight, it was more challenging than I expected for a first attempt due to the weather but I'm glad I did it and most importantly we all went up and down safely.

I will be waiting for better conditions before I go on my 2nd walk, can anyone recommend a different hill for a beginner?

Thanks in advance :-)

I obviously don't know exactly when your thinking when you say better weather but if your walking yourself or with less experience walkers Ben Lomond can be a nice one, not massively challenging but still a fair height and there's a path if your not confident map reading. Equally it's good in so much as you can go up the Ptarmigan route, it's a bit harder and maybe wouldn't attempt with snow until you've been out a bit more but that nice up and "tourist" path down. Just a thought :)

Thanks for the recommendation. By 'better weather' I just meant when there's no snow or ice. :-)
