Parked near Brownsbank farm after checking with farmer that it was ok to park there then walked to the summit and returned. A quick walk taking 45 mins.

Looking for a short walk early next week, forgot about this one, might just fit the bill nicely, cheers.. Sure I looked at this in the past, and spotted parking at Candy Mill, so you drove up to the farm then, and they were ok with that?

Another wee cracker JC, nice to see a report where the farmer is fine with hikers parking and enjoying the land, though maybe we only hear about the grumpy guys more often :D

Cheers guys, yeah the Farmer was ok with where i parked though he did say the snow gets blown onto the road at times and blocks it. It's also not far to walk up the track from Candy Mills if you park there.

As JC has already replied the farmer was ok, just to add I read another report of this hill on here where the farmer was again very obliging :)

Re: Candy Mill parking - I was eyeing up the left turn into Candy Mill from the south, where its more of a run off area and looks sufficient space to safely park

Another welcome Borders Sub2000 report JC
