Hadrians Wall & Erosion

Hadrians Wall & Erosion

Postby GableNovice » Sat Feb 02, 2013 9:12 am

This morning on BBC News one of the main stories was about the level of erosion on the ground along Hadrians Wall reaching concerning levels. One figure given was that there are 3 million visitors a year to it I think.

What are people's thoughts on this and erosion in other areas.

what are your thoughts?

i guess its just like building roads- at first there were tracks....
hadrians wall is bound to get thousands of hoof prints every year because of what it is..

i'd rather see a flagstone path than a windfarm any day though..

People may not like stone footpaths but they are the only option in this case. The option of fencing it off like stone henge is unthinkable and would ruin the place totally.
