Where to buy methylated spirit & Easter Monday bank holiday

Hello!
I'm flying to Edinburgh on April 1st for a 10 day walk in the Highlands.
I know Easter Monday is not a bank holiday in Scotland, but I was wondering if anybody could confirm that I will be able to find a superstore open.
Which leads to my second question: I'm using a homemade alcohol stove, so I need to buy methylated spirit. Is it easy to find methylated spirit? I'm asking because I know it is sometimes hard to find in certain countries.

You'll have no problem finding a superstore open around Edinburgh, try Googling Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and you'll probably find a 24/7 store.
Most hardware stores even quite small ones and some chemists (pharmacy) stock meths.
e.g my local shop has 0.25L, 0.5L, 1L and 5L containers.
Big hardware stores you'll probably find around Edinburgh are B&Q, Focus and Wicks the big stores are often open until 20:00hrs

There's a branch of Boots at the airport. I'd reckon you'd get it there.

As far as I know, all village stores in small villages (strontian, cannich, shiel bridge) sell meths, but some do not For instance, the store in Dalmally doesnt. However, the pharmacist in Dalmally sells meths in smaller bottles, so my advice: think again and look out for hardware shops, filling stations, pharmacies, or after opening hours, even try farms or residents with a well stocked shed.

By the way, the bottles the stuff is sold in are quite tough, so no need to bring a fuel bottle...

... There's a store in Kinlochbervie, and one in Scourie. In case you want to lighten your backpack.
