Force 10Helium 200

Force 10Helium 200

Hi

Has anyone got a Force 10 Helium 200 tent by Vango?
I am thinking of purchasing one very soon.

Done loads of research online, however always good to hear from owners.

On the pics and vids online shots are very varied. Does the tent have two guy lines coming out wards to the side from the main pole structure? I see the small guy lines at either end but wonder about the main ones out to the side.

Look forward to owner reviews and tips. Thanks in advance.

Only other consideration was buying a Wild Country Zephyros 2.

Cheers
Ash

Don't really know much about either tent but a friend of mine recommended I buy the zephyros so I research it against the vango banshee 200 and tbh there weren't any real difference between two apart from the zephyros bring slightly more expensive and lighter, in the end I opted for the banshee!! Still not tested it yet though but it will get a run for its money soon :)

I've got one, haven't used it yet...I liked the stats. I'll be used when the snow goes.
I also like the rab ridge raider bivvy.

I had the old style Helium 200 superlite, 2009 model in black. It only had one end pole where as the newer style has one at each end. Mine didn't have guys on the pole sleeve and I had SMG sew them on for me. It was a good tent, never let me down in the couple of years I had it. Sold it and bought a Vaude Power Lizard as I wanted a lighter tent. Almost wished I hadn't as it may be lighter but the Vaude is a right beggar to get a taught pitch and I do hate flappy tents!

Hi!

Used the 2010 Force Ten Helium superlite 200 last week. It was pitched in high wind, gusting up to 40-45mph and lost it's tautness a little over night.
I don't know about the newer version but on the whole I really like the tent. The older one has just one upright pole at the foot end and quite a steep slant at the head end so I ended up sleeping at the foot end, no problem there.
I would have had a problem if my mat had been higher as I found it hard to get the inner tauter and it can flap in your face in high winds.
There's no internal storage to speak of really and I would have liked a mesh ventilation in the flysheet which I believe has been added. The tent takes up very little space and is very light, all plus points for me. It is not a two person tent in my opinion though.
