I had a big day planned but my boiler broke so ended up on these wee hills. Train to Fairlie, up the glen across the burn up to Kaim Hill then over to Blaeloch (seemingly highest point not cairn so wandered over neaby humps as well). From the other side it is now a tarmac plod up with the windfarm - this way you avoid all that, its out of view on way up & down & path up from station scenic in snow though i imagine the moorland would be boggy in different conditions.

Sometimes unplanned outings can end up just as enjoyable. Looks a lovely walk and kilchattan bay looks really nice.
