Weekend Ramble in Glenshee. . .

Weekend Ramble in Glenshee. . .

Postby Jon_Maclachlan » Fri Mar 29, 2013 11:28 am

Planning bagging Tolmount & Tom Bhuide tomorrow, weather looking favourable & ice axe / crampons dusted off. Would anyone who has walked these 2 bland summits be willing to offer advise on the best route to bag them??

Cheers, Jon.

When I did them it was on a round of 4 from the Glenshee side but that was on a long summer day. I guess the general consensus for doing just the two of them would be from the Glen Doll side up Jock's Road? Although the summits may be slightly bland the surroundings are superb so I'm sure you'll have a great day!

Glen Doll via Jock's road would be great this time of year. On the return try and stay as high as possible until in sight of the howff to avoid the peatbogs.
Here's my report doing it this way if it helps at all
