New Challenge Needed

New Challenge Needed

Postby al tron » Thu Apr 25, 2013 1:23 pm

First of all, Howdy.
So I've been a long time lurker of these forums and decided it was about time I manned up, rolled up my sleeves and got stuck in, so to speak, and on that note I'll begin...

Basically last year me and two of my mates came up with the plan to go hiking in the Scottish highlands for charity (almost certainly whilst drunk), so after the odd bit of planning, kit buying and training we jumped in right at the deep end and in June 2012 we completed our 2 week expedition of the highlands that saw us climb the 6 highest mountains in Britain and hike from Fort William to Aviemore and the Cairngorms. We had a great time, we have many funny stories and we raised a nice amount of money for Help for Heroes, Lovely.

But alas, that is all in the past, it's now 2013 and we have been bouncing the idea around of doing another challenge along the same lines and raising a bit of money for charity while we are at it. So this is where I call upon you, my brethren of the hills. If you have any ideas, any suggestions of what this new challenge could be let us know, we are looking for ideas and inspiration at the moment so all ideas are welcome.

Cheers, Al x

If you are looking for a 2 week trip, maybe the Cape Wrath Trail?

Since you seem to be public spirited types, how about getting your donors to sponsor you for a week's volunteering to repair footpaths, then if they are all suffering from donor fatigue after last time, at least you get the staisfaction of having left something behind.
