That was the rainiest day of our trip to assynt.
we knew that we wouldnt be able to do anything challenging that day therefore we thought hard and found a perfect option for a gloomy rainy day. a forest walk. and just on our doorstep!

the hill of cnoc na doire daraich is a woodland area with an old forest and many paths. to be honest, this walk would be ideal for a family with small kids - there are wooden sculptures hidden amongst the trees, swings, small beach, picnic area, waterfall and view point to suilven.
we started the walk just behind the lochinver mission hostel. wandered for couple of hours and loved it there!

old trees must be, they've grown beards..
