Died walking in Torridon

I've just heard my lovely friend Kath Irvine died last week while walking in Torridon.

Kath has been a wonderful walking buddy since we met on this site and I'm struggling to take this in. Her funeral is tomorrow.

Terrible shock. She was 54 and very fit. Don't know what happened but gather she was walking alone.

This must be the news every family of someone who explores our hills and high places lives in fear of, how very sad for all who new her and were her friend, and our sypathy is for these people.
