Glas Maol Munros circuit including Tolmont and Buidhe

Postby flipside » Sat Jun 15, 2013 8:29 pm

Hi

Planning a wander up there next weekend, i was wondering if the boundary wall runs from Creag Leacach to Cairn of Claise? and does it stop when going from Claise to Tolmont (hope that makes any sense  )

Cheers

I did these kind of seperately. The boundary wall doesn't run all the way from CoC to Glas Maol, but the track is obvious. You drop off Glas Maol and the wall is soon picked up again to Creag Leacach and beyond.

From CoC to Tolmount/Tom Buidhe, there are faint tracks, but it's an absolute bogfest usually, and probably not one i would do in poor visibility.

If it's dry through the week it might not be too bad from CoC to the Tolmount/Tom Buidhe, but the bealach between Tolmount and Tom Buidhe is permanently unpleasant.

Incidentally, Creag Leacach is a cracking hill, my favourite in the area by a mile.
