Compeeds are a bit overpriced imo and aren't sticky enough for me anyway.. Best I have found is Boots or Morrisons own brand for around £1.50 a box..

I have some of those socks, but find they lack any padding whatsoever, and in the winter I get very cold feet if I wear them.. :( Best just getting a pair of boots that fit properly in the first place imo

Compeeds and the like are excellent for the prevention of blisters! I find that a combination of hot weather and a hard surface ie tarmac road will in time bring on a blister no matter how much walking has been done through the winter months and no matter how well your boots fit. So on a hot Summer day, not many I know, and if any roadwalking is to be done, stick on the compeeds in advance in the areas you think might require attention, as a precaution. I don't know if others feel the same way?

Have you tried the 1000 mile "Ultimate" - thicker and warmer.

I've had blisters with 1000 mile socks. I always wear 2 pairs of socks. My heels always blister in new boots however comfy, because they are very bony. Compeed are my friends!
