A great day out in the Cairngorms with my eldest son Marc & as usual Oskar.
Had hoped to continue over Ben Macdui & Carn a'Mhaim on the way back , but Marcs` boot fell apart !!
The sole came apart from the main boot section coming down off Derry C , so we improvised by putting a spare sock over the "aligator mouth style " flapping sole & it worked a treat. I had spare laces with me but no gaffer tape to bind it back together but this bodge worked out fine. Decided not to push our luck so only did these 2 , met 3 guys from Newcastle in the Hutchison Memorial Hut on our way down where we stopped for 5 mins.
Its a long way out back to Linn of Dee ...... fotos if i get a chance - my TR`s are becoming less detailed for some reason - 3 or 4 fotos put on F-Book via Talk Highlands Group
