walked the west highland way last week in four days !!! it was tough going the first 3 days we had head torches on ! it was not much fun coming down from devils staircase into kinlochleven in the dark ! the path is a nightmare ! but we done it I would not advise doing it in the winter months, because of the limited daylight ! the most important part of kit that got us through the walk were / walking poles /jet-boil stove/waterproofs/very light walking boots/bladder/high protein bars/jelly babies/and shear will power ! there were times when we had our doubts. feet are getting a wee rest couple of blisters ! be back up the hills in a few weeks.
