Hello Walkhighlands members!

I’m the new boy at Webtogs, and have been given the enviable task of taking on responsibility for judging the Monthly Walk Report competition – with input from the whole team of course.

It may come as no surprise to you that our winner of the £60 Webtogs voucher this month (perhaps because I’m a hopeless romantic) is ‘2 make 1 (Buchaille Etive Mor) via curved ridge’! What an amazing story of a great achievement, with a proposal to cap it all off! A huge well done to both Stuart a.k.a. scoob999, and Fi for completing the big 282, and congratulations on their engagement. You now have an additional engagement gift on us!

Winner of the £30 voucher is ‘Two Days in Torridon’ by weaselmaster. This is due to the number of truly awe-inspiring photographs, not least the two epic examples of brocken spectre. A big well done to weaselmaster for doing justice to such a beautiful place.

I took genuine pleasure (and envy) in reading through all of your walk reports, and it was a very tough decision to chose the £60 and £30 winners. There were some particularly inspiring pictures and videos that clearly document very special events for those involved. All I can say is what a great forum and organization you all have here! I will be participating myself in future… once I get chance to get into the hills.

We look forward to hearing from the winners, and to hearing more stories next month.

WOW! just WOW! can't believe I've won  :D

I'll put it down to the event and the video rather than my writing skills

I can honestly say Walkhighlands has transformed my life, I have met so many truly wonderful people through the site, and made life long friendships too :D And of course I met the fantastic Fiona 8)

Looking forward to more hills and a Mountain top wedding! ( anyone know a hill walking vicar?)

See you all soon :D

I know a hill walking vicar...me. But there'll be plenty of others around too. Well done on several great achievements, completing all 282, your engagement, and winning this award too. :D
