Weather: Cold and sunny.
Had a meeting in Wick, so thought I could fit a walk up a hill in somewhere. It would have to be a short one though. There were a couple of likely suspects around Helmsdale. Braigh na h-Eaglaise looked as if it would have the best views.
Not much to say really - parked on a sliver of old main road at Ousdale, climbed over a locked gate next to the keeper's cottage, and headed up ther ridge. Easy grass at first, then boggy tussocks.

There were snow showers on Beinn Dhorain to the south, but the closest and most shapely hills were clear and impressive. As it was chilly, I didn't hang around on the summit.

Back down the same way to keep the views. Lots of deer on the ridge. Back at the car after 45 minutes, in plenty of time to get to Wick.

I briefly wondered about nipping up Creag Thorraidh on the way home, but it was getting dark, the weather was poorer, and I had lots of work to do.
