First visit to Scotland

Four of us are visiting in September of 2014. Any suggestions for walking on the isle of skye or Orkneys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi ANGUS22, and welcome to the WH website, might I respectfully suggest you give slighly more info re the distance and type of walking you are looking for on Skye in particular as there is so many walks with so much different terrain etc. If you identify your favourite type of walks and put it on the General Discussion forum I'm sure you will get a lot of feedback from other members :)

Also, what are you in to - scenery (mountain or coastal) , wildlife (sea, land or air), history (neolithic or modern), pubs or coffee shops, distilleries or churches, souvenirs or memories, 4-star accommodation or the whole Milky Way?

:)
