Hi,

I've been a lurker for a while. I'm from Ayrshire, but I lived in The Netherlands for most of my 20's which gave me a newfound love for elevation and I tried to coax my friends back home into climbing anytime I was visiting Scotland. Over the past 9 years, this resulted in bagging 4 munros and several "we'll start with something simple and work up" peaks.

I've been back in the country 2 years, but at the start of this year my January health kick lasted a little longer than usual so I looked around for something that I could work towards fitness wise. I signed up to climb Ben Nevis in July as part of an event Macmillan Cancer Support are putting on so I am trying to do some regular walks in order to train for it a little. I have a few friends that will come along for some of my practice walks, but a lot of my downtime is mid-week so I plan to do a few on my own too.

Just thought I'd say hello. I will try and find the time to put up a walk report for each of the walks I do.

Cheers,

Neil
