A grand day out.. weather fab once again. Crossed the snowslopes up to Bealach a Bhasteir and scrambled up Nicholson s Chimney and up to the summit of Sgurr Nan Gillean returned by the same route to the top of the chimney and abseiled down (tat in-situ) then back to the Bealach and a straightforward wander up and down Am Basteir . : )

Straight forward? Wondering how you negotiated the bad step on Am Basteir?

Downclimbed it ! ve done it a few times before so i know where the good handholds are : )

The good handholds are on your left as you look down the notch so will be on your right as you downclimb : )

i was taking part in the Highlander Mountain Marathon. A simple slip on boggy ground and my foot buckled under me resulting in a broken tib and fib so i now have a pin the length of my Tibia : (
