Wild campin near Beinn Narnain

Wild campin near Beinn Narnain

Postby doggy » Tue Jun 03, 2014 5:21 pm

I'm toying with the idea of doing Beinn Narnain on Friday evening and I will be taking my tent etc just in case it gets late and I decide to camp over. Is there anywhere decent to camp on the mountain? I know of a camp site local but if I#m honest I would prefer to wild camp, is it an option on Narnain or is the terrain a bit too uneven and stoney?

Cheers.

Hey!

I camped just off the road about a mile up the road from the start point on this site. Its on the right hand side of the road and you drive down to a parking area and started from there. If you are meaning on the mountain itself then on the way up near the Narnain boulders there would be plenty of areas.

Nice walk in there.

if you would prefer low level i'm sure there are threads on here advising how to access the Arrochar caves and some have posted reports of staying in them.

Thanks guys. I would prefer to camp as high as possible.
Can anyone tell me how long it took to get to the top and back to Arrochar?
