Hill walking companions for route finding

Hill walking companions for route finding

Postby jeneyefur1 » Thu Jun 26, 2014 1:22 pm

Hello,

I am a keen hill walker and have currently bagged 129 Munros and other assorted Corbetts, Wainwrights, Welsh hills etc. Location wise my love is Scotland.

I have 2 significant problems with this though:-

1. I live in Gloucestershire, England
2. I am geographically challenged with a poor sense of direction! Although, this improves with practice it will never come easily to me.

Both these problems, mean that I like to walk with other folk. I was wondering if my circumstances chime with anybody out there, i.e. is there somebody who lives near me who is happy to route find but would like somebody to share cost/experiences with?

Thanks
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

I should be moving to Bristol before the end of the year. We could probably work something out.

Hi AJ,

Thanks for the reply.

Let me know once you have moved and are looking to take a trip and we exchange email addresses or mobile numbers to explore possibilities...?

Thanks

Hey George,

Thanks for the response and will do! :)

You're lucky to live where you do - certainly makes your hill days easier and less expensive than mine!

Catch you on the hill sometime.

Hi Jennifer , you should consider coming up to the WH meets , a few travel from down south and you might be able to arrange a car share , a friendly bunch and big groups to go out walking with . :D

Hey Ceasar,

Yes, I should be keeping an eye out for like located folk who might be heading up on a WH meet. I guess the best way of doing this is via the forums?

Thanks for the good tip

:)

Absolutely, shall do. Will send you a PM via WalkHighlands when I've got myself sorted with moving.

Cheers.
