Nevis Range : Walk Leananchan Forest

Nevis Range : Walk Leananchan Forest

Postby torolga » Mon Aug 11, 2014 12:33 pm

Hello!

I refer to the walk posted on this site "Leanachan Forest" near Nevis Range.
The description does not say that one has to take a gondola up the slope.
My guide book, instead, says that to access some hiking trails one needs to take a gondola.
Are these different trails?
Could you please clarify.

There are many paths in the forest round there.. Whether you take the gondola/ski lift up to the higher paths and walk down, or whether you want to walk up, or just wander around low level is 100% up to you.. I have looked at the walk on the site, which is low level, so no gondola required. Other guide books will have different routes in the area. I'm sure once you get to the ski centre they will have a leaflet/map with all your options :)
