Sat 27th Sept - Ben Challum +2 from Kirkton

Sat 27th Sept - Ben Challum +2 from Kirkton

Postby jepsonscotland » Wed Sep 24, 2014 2:16 pm

Hi All,
This Saturday will be 'attempting' Ben Challum and the two to it's North from Kirkton farm.
It's a bit of a long one from this start, but better (IMO) than going up to and from the ''road'' at the end of Glen Lyon.
The surface is awful and bust my o/s/f wheel bearing a couple of months ago!

I'll understand if there aren't too many takers, as it is a little 'unusual' and lots of ascent.

Sunday, however, will be much easier.
Meall Glas and Sgiath Chuil. :D
I just hope no one ever asks me to pronounce the second one! (Evie!)

Cheers
Chris

Hi,
Sorry for delay, been on late shift followed by early shift!

Sat: Ben Challum, Creag Mhor and Beinn Heasgarnich.
Not the best route and lots of ascent, but better than going to Glen Lochy. Hopefully...................

Sun: Meall Glas and Sgiath Chuil.
Much easier day. :D
Andy (Flump) confirmed as going too.

Cheers
Chris

9 am at layby 'parking' area, hopefully.
It's not a big day, so no rush. Unless weather says otherwise.
I'll give final update after weather service update tomorrow. :D

By the end of the walk my top half was soaked to the skin, legs and feet were bone dry... it's usually the other way round.
