Accessing Ben Alder from Rannoch Road - Parking?

Accessing Ben Alder from Rannoch Road - Parking?

Postby IanEzzi » Wed Oct 08, 2014 9:32 am

I'm planning on taking a couple of friends up to Ben Alder Cottage at the weekend, hiking in Friday night from the Loch Rannoch Road.

Google Streetview seems to show a fairly large turning area at the bottom of the forest road, no signs that I could see prohibiting parking either. Anyone had any experiences one way or the other? Just don't want to get our hire car towed or stickered!

Cheers

No idea about the parking, sorry. But you'll miss Strictly ....

Parked there overnight in 2005 - no issues. I'd imagine nothing has changed.

Ok thanks guys, the forecast has improved a bit so we're going back to plan A in the Cairngorms, will save Ben Alder Cottage for another time.

Thanks for the reminder lightfoot, I guess I could just take a recording of a studio audience applauding and shrieking hysterically at every little thing, that way I could simulate Strictly AND X-Factor in one go, two birds with one stone! 8)
