Four previous visits up my local hill , Ben Lomond, have provided no views at all! Sundays weather looked decent so Julie and I decided to take a wander up and hopefully, finally, get them mountain views!! Started at noon and went up the main East path, came down the Ptarmigan Ridge on the West. Very hot to begin with some lingering cloud, but that cleared and got some very decent views. Summit was very busy  ! Amazingly first time on the Ptarmigan Ridge! Found it to be a great walk out with stunning views of Loch Lomond in front and the Arrochar Alps to the rear. The route is well documented so here is some photos of our afternoon local walk :)

A great afternoons walking that wasn't too strenuous. Definitely one to do again, when quieter

Nice day to get the views, dooters - looks like Julie's really getting into the swing of things

Fairly similar to you, have been up here four times in the past each time with a different person but have been lucky to get good weather each time - wasn't until the fourth though that we descended via ptarmigan - cheers :)

Wow, that first picture looks like a fata morgana! 8) A great hill, but then I’m biased as it was my first. Nice to see what I missed. :D

Your photos are amazing. Am very jealous! Went up there today - planned because i had taken annual leave and was going up there come hell or high water...........got both! No views at all! -shrouded in mist, cold, very wet and very windy. I see what i missed looking at your review. Will need to go back on a better day!
